Gilbert Jean and Associates
Investigative and Security Consultants

As you may know, I have worked as a law enforcement officer in our community since 1978 at Jasper Police Department. After working in the patrol and detective division as both an officer and supervisor, I was promoted to Assistant Chief in February 1997. My years at the police department have afforded me many opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. The diversity of my advanced law enforcement training is detailed in my enclosed resume.
I believe my broad range of law enforcement experience and training and my years of serving our community have prepared me to offer a level of security and investigative consulting services currently not available in our community. Forensic hypnosis, voice stress analysis and traffic accident investigation are three areas of my expertise which you might be interested in discussing further. I will also offer access to an impressive list of seasoned law enforcement professionals, located across the region. I will be coordinating my work with a group of retired law enforcement officers who offer similar services in the areas where they live. As a result, my local clients will be able to utilize the wide range of consulting resources available through this professional pool. Collectively, we will offer security and investigative services ranging from pre-employment screening and domestic investigations to lie detection services and expert courtroom testimony in just about any subject area you can imagine.

What is Voice Stress Analysis?
Very simply put, it is a computerized
process in which a person’s voice is analyzed for markers of stress which may
be indicative of deception. The computerized device used for this detection measures FM Frequency Modulation when a person is speaking. Normal muscle vibration accounts for readings in a certain frequency range detected by the device.
Accelerated vibrations are indicators of a person’s response to what is referred to as the “fight or flight” syndrome — a term used to describe a person’s internal dilemma when they are being deceptive.
What are some potential applications of VSA?
Gilbert Jean is a certified Voice Stress Analyzer Operator. His training and experience have shown him that the use of voice stress analysis is effective in ...

How does VSA compare to the use of a polygraph test?

The Voice Stress Analysis process is less expensive, more mobile and can even be used with conversations that are tape-recorded or over the telephone.
